The Southern Cross
The Southern Cross is located in the constellation Crux, the smallest of the 88 constellations. The four stars that mark the famous Southern Cross asterism are Mimosa/Becrux. Gacrux. Acrux and Delta Crucis.
The Southern Cross can be easily seen with the unaided eye by observers in the Southern hemisphere. This picture was taken in the Australian country about 200 km north west of Sydney.
